What if I've I've never fished before?

Not a problem!  Page Valley Fly Fishing Service welcomes all levels of fishing experience, from beginner to expert.  Our fishing trips are limited to no more than four people (per trip), so we can give personalized instruction and assistance when needed.   We'll take you to a great fishing spot, take care of all the details and show you all you need to know to have a great time fly fishing!

Where will we fish and what kind of fish can I expect to catch?

Fish for smallmouth bass on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River.  Fish for Mountain Brook Trout in select locations throughout the Shenandoah Valley. 

For your convenience, your guide, C.T. Campbell, Owner of Page Valley Fly Fishing Service, can meet you at your place of lodging or at a landmark in the local area.  Trip options vary and can be customized based on client needs and preferences.   Meeting locations may vary according to trip location.

Can I keep what I catch?

Page Valley Fly Fishing Service practices catch and release fishing only.

What's included in your rates?

We provide fishing instruction, a great fishing spot and a great time!  All flies and leaders are included in our packages.  We provide all wading gear and tackle unless you prefer to bring your own.

What should I bring?

Everything you need to have a great time fly fishing is included in our packages.  However, you may prefer to bring:

  • Sunscreen
  • Insect Repellant
  • Camera
  • Sunglasses (polarized are best)

Do I need a fishing license and how do I get one?

We can assist you with getting a resident or non-resident Virginia fishing license during your stay in the Shenandoah Valley.
